This is the first book in the series from Laura Griffin, called Hidden: The
Texas Murders Files. The story begins with a journalist, Bailey Roads, she meets
a detective, Jacob Merritt. Everything starts with a woman jogging in the park
who is stabbed to death. After doing some research it was found out that Dana
Smith may not be her name. Which means that Dana Smith doesn’t exist. She has no
friends, and no family, and her employer, is a doctor who hired her to be a
nanny for her daughter. The doctor doesn’t know much more about her than the
cops do. Bailey is very smart and good at her job as a crime scene reporter who
is very resourceful and stubborn about getting the information for her story for
the Austin Herald paper she works for. Bailley believes there is more to this
story than what meets the eye. Jacob Merritt is a strong detective, and he is
stubborn as Bailey in not letting go of the case as it was. Jacob wanted the
person who was responsible for Dana’s death behind bars. But there is one
problem is that Bailey is always one step ahead of him. What I can tell you
about this story is a page-turner that has just the right amount of romance and
suspense and the pace will keep you up all night. So, if you are looking for a
good storyteller then this book is for you.
