It’s in His Kiss, can be read as a standalone. But if you haven’t read this series yet, you are missing out.

HEINOUS (the Face of Evil ) #9 DEBRA WEBB

Well here the next installment of the Face of Evil series book number 9 Heinous. While Jess Harris she continue to be challenged when more dead bodies turn up with more clues that point to her past. If you know anything about putting a puzzle together, than all of a sudden the pierces of the puzzle start to fall in to place. You are asking the question in your mind, what has Jess family has to do with Eric Spears, aka: The Player, and why does he want Jess so badly. Dan Burnett has been suspended from his position as Chief of Police. Why is Dan, being set up? What does the mayor has to do with Dan, being suspension or who else is behind this set up on Dan. I have so many questions than I do answer. The one thing that I can say about Debra Webb, she has never disappointed me. With that said, it is so very easy for me to recommend this book, and the other books in this series. If you are a fan who loves a good mystery, with suspense with some romance in it than this is a must read for you.

Great news for you, the wait is over for the next installment in this series is here. With the two private investigators Scarlet Moreno, and Krista Hart they have taken on two new cases. The one case that Scarlet, start off with is doing a favor for a friend. Jason Jones is a longtime friend who is with the LAPD, and also wanted for killing his girlfriend. The only person that he can trust is Scarlet, to help him prove that he is being set up, because he is innocent. They have a few problems in proving he is innocent of this crime, and one of them is that the LAPD really want him behind bars. The other one is whoever is framing Jason wants him dead, and she believes that they also want her dead, too. Everything points to a possible connect to the ambush that nearly killed her, and Krista Hart three years before. Than we have Krista Hart, being team up with a rival private detective R.J. Flynn, on another case. This case is more than meet the eye. Krista realizes that nothing about the murder of a beautiful Laguna Beach housewife is not quite what it seems. Krista sets out to uncover the truth--no matter whose side it helps. I would have to say that I really enjoyed this Moreno & Hart series. Especially when you have two authors, with their caliber of talents Allison Brennan and Laura Griffin teaming up again in their second book that featuring the detective duo, and Moreno & Hart. This is a must read, and if you didn’t read their first one Crash and Burn, you need to also pick that one also. If you are a fan of mystery, and suspense with a touch of thriller, than this is just the book for you.

Nick is best friend to her husbands and also a fellow cop. Than Nick realize that thing just don't add up about Thomas's shooting. When he finds out that it was a hit from an informant. But before he could bring the informant in he is also killed. Than something strange happen Nick, gets shot in the head. Almost two years, later a man comes to Nick, says that he knows where Kennedy was, and that they needed his help to take down one of the most powerful men in the state. Kennedy is undercover at one of the offices in a position to get the information they will need. Grey Justice runs an organization where they help get justice for someone they knew or a loved one. If you are look for something that has a lot of intriguing, and action with romantic and a dash of suspense than you need not go any farther.
